Mar 1, 2012 -Jackie and Bender, our local djs for 106.1 KISS FM here in Seattle, have been doing this two day radiothon for 11 years now. Every year Katy and I listen to the stories and never in a million years did we think we would spend a day at Seattle Children's with any of our kids, let alone 70 days. KISS FM has raised over a MILLION dollars a year for several years now. Tomorrow is day two of the radiothon from 7am-7pm. If you're not local you can listen to the live event on iHeartRadio @ iheart.com, search: 106.1 KISSFM to hear of how Seattle Children's has impacted the lives of so many other children!
Tomorrow Katy and Jacob have an appointment at SCH and we will be donating in honor of Jacob and as a thanks for all the doctors and nurses that made it possible for our baby to be here today.
Follow this link (https://secure.seattlechildrens.org/radiothondonation.asp) to help out anyway you can, so other mommies and daddies can spend even seconds longer with their babies, whether it be an infant, young child, or teenager! SCH not only provides outstanding medical care, but also provides families with facilities and outreach services so that parents can spend as much time as possible with there sick child.
If you make a donation, please direct it to Congenital Defects, General Surgery, or Intensive Care. There is also an option for you to direct your donation in honor of our Baby Jacob, under the "Click here if your donation is a memorial or special occasion" tab. Seattle Children's is truly an amazing hospital especially when it is standing today by millions of donations alone!
Thank you for sharing about this. I shared it on Facebook just now. Blessings...
ReplyDeleteWonderful! We had our 3 day radiothon in February. I was doing a live interview while Sam was in surgery! It's so special to be able to do *anything* to give back to the place that saved your child. Big kiss to your Seattle children's hospital. :)
